The long-awaited Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has a new release date. According to reports, it will be released earlier, from June 25, 2027 to June 18, 2027.
The new date falls on two holidays — Father’s Day and Juneteenth. It will also be released alongside an animated film and a week after the release of How to Train Your Dragon 2.
After the huge cliffhanger in Across the Spider-Verse (2023), fans' excitement has increased even more. However, the film has been delayed several times. Now, this is expected to be the final release date.
Sony initially planned to release it on March 29, 2024, but due to high standards of animation and production, it took longer. According to producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller, it was important to give fans the quality they expected.
In the first exclusive footage shown at the event, Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) is shown saying: “Everyone keeps telling me how my story is supposed to go. I’m gonna do my own thing.” Also included is Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) and the alternate-universe Miles as Prowler, which will provide a more intense fight in the final installment of the trilogy.
