
Italy and Japan have arrived in the Philippines for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship 2025.
World No. 2 Italy, led by Simone Giannelli, returns to defend their title after winning in 2022. They will face Pool F against Ukraine, Belgium, and Algeria.

Meanwhile, World No. 5 Japan, led by Yuki Ishikawa, Ran Takahashi, and Yuji Nishida, are aiming for the gold medal. They are expected to rely on the support of Filipino fans as their “seventh man.”

Also here in the country is Team USA (World No. 6) led by Micah Christenson. On Sunday, World No. 1 Poland landed first, facing Netherlands, Qatar, and Romania in Pool B.
Also arriving with Alas Pilipinas's rivals in Pool A — Iran, Egypt, and Tunisia. The tournament will run from September 12 to 28 at the Mall of Asia Arena and Araneta Coliseum.
