Veteran guard Terrence Romeo will return to 3x3 basketball after 10 years. He will play for Manila Melmac in the upcoming FIBA 3x3 Manila Challenger to be held September 20-21 in Parañaque.
At the beginning of his career, Romeo was known for his halfcourt game and last played in 3x3 in 2015 for Manila West. According to him, he agreed to participate in the tournament again to support the people. “If it's for the people, I'll play. I don't need any offers, as long as I'm needed, I'll be there,” Romeo said.
Romeo will be joined by Mac Tallo, Abdul Sawat, and Henry Iloka, while Chico Lanete will be the team's coach. Romeo promised that he will do everything to help the team. “The fans expect me to give my best so that we can get the goal,” he added.
Romeo, who is 33 years old, is a three-time PBA champion. He last played for TerraFirma Dyip, but his contract ended this August. He also admitted that he is still open to new opportunities for the next phase of his basketball career.
