A Korean travel influencer in his 20s died after falling while taking photos of a volcano in Mongolia in late August.
According to a report by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the woman, identified only as Ms. A, slipped and fell off the edge of Uran Togoo Volcano. It is believed that a sudden strong wind caused her to lose her balance.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
The Uran Togoo Volcano is a dormant volcano and is known as a favorite tourist destination. It has a crater measuring approximately 500 to 600 meters wide and 50 to 60 meters deep.
It is located at an altitude of 1,680 meters and is a popular destination for hikers and travelers visiting the Khuvsgul region.
