
The heavy rain from the southwest monsoon has caused severe flooding in the northern part of Pakistan. According to disaster agencies, up to 321 people have died in just 48 hours.

Many houses and livelihoods were destroyed by sudden flash floods. Many families were forced to evacuate and become homeless, while the number of those affected continues to rise.

According to the report, hundreds of kilometers of roads and crops have been damaged. Thousands of residents are in need of assistance such as food, clean water, and temporary shelter.

The cost of damage to property and infrastructure is estimated at ₱2.1 billion. As a result, local authorities and relief groups have intensified their efforts to help those affected.

Experts continue to warn that there may be additional rain, so everyone is advised to be prepared and follow evacuation orders if necessary.
