The courage of a mother in Davao City was admired after she reported to the police her own son who hid about ₱1.5 million worth of marijuana in their house.
Police seized more than 1,000 grams of dried marijuana from the home of a mother and son in Aplaya, Bunawan, Davao City. The operation was conducted on Sunday after the mother herself requested a search of their home.
The suspect, identified by the alias “Ariel”, is now in police custody and facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Investigations are ongoing into the source of the confiscated drugs.
The mother's actions were praised by the public, who preferred to have her son arrested so that the situation would not worsen and his connection to illegal activities would be severed.
