A man's grave on the sidewalk of Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City has been removed after going viral on social media. He is said to be unemployed and has no family to look after the grave.
According to residents, the man was found buried on Wednesday on a section of the sidewalk, one of the busiest roads in Metro Manila. The Quezon City local government assisted with the burial through its free burial program.
Now that the mound has been removed, the man's remains have been taken to Catalunia Funeral Parlor and are scheduled for burial this coming Wednesday. Under city ordinance, blocking or parking on the sidewalk is prohibited because it is a pedestrian walkway.
