The body of a woman who was suspected of being murdered was found inside a sack in Antipolo City, Rizal on Friday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Rowena Del Carmen, 45 years old, a resident of Barangay Bagong Nayon, Antipolo. The body was found at Sitio Lower Manalite I past 4:00 p.m.
According to a report by the Antipolo Police, a concerned citizen called the Police Community Precinct 2 after smelling a foul odor in the area. Police officers responded immediately and found the body bag in the garbage area of a rental house.
The investigation is ongoing after an alias “Angel”, the victim's neighbor, revealed that he had an argument with his live-in partner before the crime.
The incident was revealed after residents complained about the foul smell, prompting the barangay to inspect the source of the odor, which led to the discovery of the body.
