HBO has released the first look at Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid in their upcoming Harry Potter series. Frost will play the beloved half-giant and Hogwarts groundskeeper, previously played by the late Robbie Coltrane.
The image shows Frost sporting a long beard and mushy hair, similar to the original Hagrid look. He is also wearing an earth-toned outfit, a classic look that fans are familiar with.
At the same time, the first look at Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter was also shown, wearing the Gryffindor uniform and round glasses that have become the symbol of the character.
Also joining the cast are Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. There are also well-known actors such as John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as McGonagall, and many others.
The new Harry Potter series will premiere in 2027. For fans, it's another journey back to the magical world of Hogwarts.
