The new Classique Tourbillon Sidéral 7255 from Breguet has been launched as part of the brand's 250th anniversary celebrations. It is limited to 50 pieces and pays homage to the historic date of June 26, 1801, when Abraham-Louis Breguet obtained the patent for his invention of the tourbillon.
For the first time in the history of the Maison, aventurine enamel is used on the dial. Its deep blue is accented with shimmering copper dots, resembling the night sky. It uses multiple heating processes to achieve the unique design. Since aventurine is made by hand, no two pieces are the same, making each watch unique.
Within the 38mm 18K gold case, the Calibre 187M1 movement is housed, designed around a flying tourbillon. The tourbillon is elevated and appears to float above the dial, giving it a unique view that resembles stars in the sky.
The design is complete with Breguet's signature details, such as the Quai de l’Horloge guilloché caseback and special gold alloy. It combines tradition, innovation, and inspiration from space.
