A newborn baby died after getting stuck in a motorcycle chain in Tagkawayan, Quezon. According to police, the baby's parents were on their way home to Barangay Pasay del Gallego, Camarines Sur while riding a motorcycle, carrying the baby wrapped in a blanket.
The parents reportedly did not notice that the child's blanket fell and sagged. It got caught in the motorcycle's chain, so as the motorcycle continued to move, the blanket and the baby were pulled from the mother's hold.
Meanwhile, in Baguio City, a dead baby was found in the trash dump of Barangay Upper Rock Quarry. Investigations are ongoing into who abandoned the child.
