A senior citizen died after the motorcycle he was riding was crushed by a 10-wheeler truck in Quezon City. According to authorities, the truck was parked and without a driver when the incident occurred.
The truck suddenly swooped forward without anyone driving and crashed into a pole. Unfortunately, it hit the motorcycle on which the old man was riding.
Responding rescuers were unable to do anything when they found the victim under the truck. The senior citizen died on the spot due to the weight of the crushing force.
The police investigation is now continuing into why the truck moved without a driver. It is possible that it had a problem with the brake or handbrake, according to initial analysis.
