The tragedy occurred in Tagaytay City, Cavite early Tuesday morning where three people died and five people were injured after a collision between a car and a van on Bypass Road, Barangay Zambal.
The deceased were in a car, including the driver, his pregnant passenger, and another unidentified man. According to police, the pregnant woman was on her way to the hospital for a check-up.
The van that crashed was carrying five youths aged 17 to 18. According to the investigation, the group was allegedly drunk and had just finished drinking after their high school graduation.
“He drank and then went on a road trip, boasting, and was driving erratically,” according to PLtCol. Jefferson Ison, chief of Tagaytay police.
The injured are currently recovering in the hospital. The driver of the van could be charged with multiple homicide, damage to property, and physical injuries.
