Filipinos can travel to Taiwan visa-free until July 31, 2026. This was announced by Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on June 14, 2025. The extension also includes tourists from Thailand and Brunei.
This move aims to strengthen Taiwan's ties with countries in Southeast Asia under their New Southbound Policy.
Also included in the extension is the Project for Simplifying Visa Regulations for high-end group tourists from Southeast Asia until December 31, 2026. The Online Travel Authorization Certificate (TAC) will also remain open for select countries in the region.
According to MOFA, they want to increase tourist arrivals and deepen regional connectivity while maintaining border and public safety.
Since 2017, Filipinos have been allowed to enter Taiwan visa-free for up to 14 days. Due to positive results, it has been renewed several times, and is now being extended for another year.
