LEGO has released the Shelby Cobra Icons Set for the car's 60th anniversary. This model has 1,241 pieces and is designed for adult LEGO and automotive fans. It is made in 1:10 scale to resemble the original 1960s sports car.
There are functional features such as a working steering wheel, opening doors, hood, and trunk. It also features a detailed V8 engine, a blue body with white racing stripes, and the side exhausts that are known to Cobras. There are additional accessories such as a toolbox in the trunk, a fire extinguisher, and a trophy that shows the car's racing history.
A $100 bill element is included as a tribute to Carroll Shelby's story of the "100 dollar bill game." The set is priced at $159.99 USD.
LEGO Insiders will be able to purchase it starting July 1, and for everyone on July 4 on the official LEGO website and store.
