Incredibles 3 is officially underway at Pixar, and this time, Peter Sohn — the director of Elemental and The Good Dinosaur — has been tapped to helm the film. That means the highly anticipated third story of the Parr super family is in motion again!
Although he is no longer the director, Brad Bird — the original creator of The Incredibles — will return as writer and producer. According to reports, he and Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter came to an agreement because Bird is busy with other projects such as Ray Gunn....
Peter Sohn is no stranger to the world of Pixar. He was part of the original Incredibles as an animator and a story consultant on Incredibles 2. Also, the success of Elemental, which grossed a lot and was even nominated for Oscars, showed his ability to create emotional and creative stories.
Pixar hasn't announced a release date yet, but they're currently busy preparing for another film, Elio, which is due out this month.
