A father was arrested in Caloocan after he was accused of raping his own daughter. He is on the Most Wanted Persons list of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). Police caught him in an alley in Barangay 178, according to Police Lt. Col. Alain Licdan of the Northern Police District (NPD).
The investigation began when the victim was caught having sex with another child. When the teacher questioned him and called his mother, the child revealed that he had been abused for a long time by his uncles and his own father. Due to fear, he did not immediately report it.
According to the investigation, whenever the child would visit his grandmother's house in Caloocan, his relatives would abuse him while his aunt was at the market. Three relatives were involved—the father and two uncles. One of the uncles is already in prison, while the other was released after posting bail.
The father was caught with the help of an informant. It turns out that he is hiding in Manila and frequently changes jobs. He only comes home once a month to his mother's house in Caloocan. He vehemently denies the allegations.
He will be charged with rape, acts of lasciviousness, and sexual abuse. He is currently in the custody of the NPD-DSOU in Caloocan pending court proceedings.
