The Yamaha PG-1 became a favorite among moto-builders in the Philippines a year after its release. Powered by a 115cc engine and priced at P82,900, it proved to be not just a daily ride but also a canvas for creativity.
The Yamaha PG-1 Outdoor Custom Throwdown organized by Yamaha Motor Philippines in collaboration with Kustomanila featured local builders such as Motoyaki Customs who won with their military-inspired design. There were three build categories: Bikers Build-off, Camper Build, and Travelers Build, where riders showcased their customized PG-1 that reflected their lifestyle.
Aside from the build competition, there was also a special test ride course that showcased the Yamaha PG-1’s capabilities on rough roads, ramps, and sandy paths. It showcased the bike’s durability and adaptability for moto-explorers who are always looking for new adventures.
