The Philippine National Police conducted a raid on a building in San Roque, Antipolo City, Rizal on May 27. According to a police report, 70 people and a minor were caught in the operation against an online investment scam.
The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) led the raid, along with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Rizal PPO, and Antipolo City Police Office. They used a search and seizure warrant against the owner of the building, identified as "Arthur."
The office has been under surveillance since 2024 after an Australian national reported fraud against foreign investors. Among the items seized were computers and electronic devices for digital forensic analysis.
The operation is still being investigated for possible links to human trafficking and illegal employment of minors. Investigations are ongoing to identify others involved.
