A major fire in Hyderabad City, India has killed 17 people and injured many more. It happened near the Charminar monument, a famous landmark in southern India.
According to Federal Minister G. Kishan Reddy, the cause of the fire was possibly due to short circuit. It spread quickly inside the three-story building where there were 21 people when the incident started.
The injured were immediately taken to the hospital while the investigation continues. It took an hour before the fire was completely extinguished.
The incident has caused fear among residents and grief throughout the community. Authorities are continuing to monitor for other possible victims.
