Two police officers from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) were arrested after allegedly causing a disturbance and destroying property at a KTV bar on Commonwealth Avenue, Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City, early Wednesday morning.
According to the report, the suspects—a corporal and a patrolman both assigned to the Warrant Section of Police Station 14—entered the bar around 1 a.m. and were reportedly drunk at the time.
At 2:30 a.m., witnesses said they ordered more alok and began to become aggressive. They allegedly threw ice cubes at waiters and other customers, and broke a glass painting frame. This caused a commotion and people left.
Their fellow police officers from the same station immediately responded. They were arrested, their guns were seized, and they were taken to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU).
The two police officers are now facing charges of alarms and scandal and malicious mischief. According to the QCPD, they seriously oppose any misconduct by their personnel, and if found guilty, they will immediately be charged with criminal and administrative cases.
