P197.2 million worth of suspected shabu was seized by the PDEA in a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Saturday. Arrested were two suspects alias ‘Jalil’ (44 years old) and ‘Gracia’ (36 years old), both residents of Cebu City.
The suspects were caught at 5:00 p.m. inside an exclusive subdivision in the city. They were carrying 29 aluminum packets labeled ‘Freeze-dried Durian’ and written in Chinese characters.
According to the report, the packets contained 29 kilos of shabu, estimated to be worth P197.2 million. Also confiscated were cellphones, buy-bust money, and other evidence.
The suspects are facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
