Veteran actor Ricky Davao has passed away at the age of 63, according to Viva Entertainment on Friday, May 2. In the company's Facebook post, they said: "Rest assured, Sir Ricky." The cause of his death was not mentioned.
Before becoming an actor, Davao started out as a dancer in the showbiz industry. After that, his career took off in television and film, and he starred in many projects such as Bongbong and Kris, Saranggola, and Fuccbois.
One of his last films was the romantic comedy Sosyal Climbers, in which he co-starred with Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings.
Davao was previously married to Jackie Lou Blanco, and they had three children. His passing follows the death of Pilita Corrales, who was his mother-in-law before he and Blanco separated in 2011.
