When JENNIE and Dominic Fike met at the YSL show in Paris earlier this week, loyal fans of both artists and fashion enthusiasts were hoping that a musical collaboration was on the way, especially as JENNIE's solo debut was approaching. that "Ruby." Speculation of a collab track has indeed been confirmed, emerging today with a catchy and mellow song titled “Love Hangover.”
The single includes a cinematic and striking music video, which begins with a funeral scene for the BLACKPINK star. In the video – which features Charles Melton as her toxic boyfriend – JENNIE dies several deaths through strange circumstances such as a bowling accident and a monster walking through the screen at a drive-in movie theater.
"We say it's over (Uh) / But I keep f*cking with you (Yeah)," is the song written by JENNIE in the chorus. "And every time I do, I wake up with this love hangover / You got me pourin' for two / I swore I'd never do it again." Fike, on the other hand, lends a helping hand on the second verse, which includes witty wordplay and an honest delivery.
"Ruby," which will be released next month, includes collaborations from artists such as Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, Kali Uchis, Doechii, and FKJ.
