Recognized food content creator Abi Marquez, better known as “Lumpia Queen,” proves once again that food is more than just flavor and comfort. With her creative recipes and stories, food becomes a bridge to unite communities and provide a space of care for all.
Her advocacy deepened when she accepted the role as the new ambassador for World Vision Philippines, a humanitarian organization that helps children and families in need. For Marquez, being an ambassador is an opportunity to use her influence for a greater cause.
With millions of followers following his videos, Marquez believes that simple food can bring joy and hope, especially to the youth. He points out that food is a right, not just art or culture, and should be within every child's reach.
As part of her work, she visited a community in Baseco, Manila, where she held a Kiddie Kitchen Session. Here, children learned basic kitchen skills, from peeling fruit to decorating pancakes—a day filled with smiles and inspiration.
At the end of the visit, Marquez received the children's heartfelt performances and distributed small gifts. Along with supporting the Noche Buena campaign that delivered gifts to thousands of children, this partnership demonstrated that food is a powerful tool for hope, goodness, and change.
