The Batangas Port experienced long lines as more passengers headed home to the province for Christmas. Many motorists lined up since early morning but were still unable to enter the port until afternoon.
Some fixers approach motorists, offering quick entry in exchange for ₱2,000. According to PPA Batangas, they strictly prohibit such transactions and have port police deployed on the access road to monitor the situation.
The number of passengers at ticketing booths has also increased, leading to longer lines. PPA Batangas expects the influx to continue until Christmas Eve, so passengers are encouraged to follow the queue and avoid fixers.
