President Marcos reminded the PNP to be visible and active in public areas this holiday season to ensure the safety of every citizen. He noted that even during the celebration, public service does not stop.
During the oath taking of 50 newly promoted star-ranked police officers, Marcos said the promotion is not just a recognition of their past work, but also higher expectations for their leadership. He noted that the higher rank comes with broader authority and responsibility for operations, personnel welfare, and public trust.
Marcos advised the police to be firm, fair, and decisive, but with respect for the rights and dignity of every Filipino. He added that amidst political noise and new technological threats, the public relies on the PNP as the first line of protection.
Marcos also emphasized the government's continued support for the PNP through updated base pay and additional daily allowances, in recognition of their service and sacrifices for the country.
