
Tropical Depression Wilma has raised Wind Signal No. 1 in some parts of the country, according to PAGASA.
According to the report, as of 4 p.m., the center of Wilma was 575 km east of Catarman, Northern Samar. strong winds and rainfall are expected in areas under the signal.
Those affected include southern Masbate, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Northern Cebu, and Eastern and Central Bohol. In Mindanao, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Northern Surigao del Sur, and Northern Agusan del Norte are affected.
The northeast monsoon has further intensified wind strength in Luzon and Visayas.
Wilma is expected to make landfall in the Eastern Visayas or Dinagat Islands between tonight and tomorrow morning. It will remain a tropical depression, but is possible to slightly intensify before crossing the West Philippine Sea.
