House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos attended the hearing of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Thursday. The ICI was created by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to investigate alleged corruption in flood control and other government projects.
Sandro's arrival at ICI comes a week after Zaldy Co linked him to alleged budget insertions, which the congressman from Ilocos Norte immediately denied.
According to Sandro, he attended “on a voluntary basis” to assist in the investigation. He clarified that he did not have a subpoena and that he was not under investigation as the subject of the case.
He also said he was willing to share any information that could help the progress of the ICI investigation.
further details regarding the hearing are still awaited.
