
The Gilas Pilipinas has officially completed its lineup for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand, days before the start of the campaign for the gold medal. The selection of players went through severe restrictions by the host country.
Added to the Final 12 are Allen Liwag, a former NCAA MVP from Benilde, and Justin Chua, a free agent and former PBA big man. The lineup also includes Ray Parks Jr., Matthew Wright, Thirdy Ravena, Jamie Malonzo, and Von Pessumal, all known pros.
Also making the list are PBA stars Robert Bolick, Abu Tratter, and rookie Dalph Panopio, who previously played for Gilas Youth. Collegiate standouts Veejay Pre and Cedrick Manzano were also added.
Coach Norman Black led the formation of the lineup, despite the simultaneous running of the PBA, UAAP, NCAA and MPBL.
