In a video from Manila PIO, Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso said that in-person classes for public and private schools will not be allowed for the time being. He also ordered the use of alternative delivery modes to continue learning.
According to the Manila PIO, about 130,000 people attended the first day of the gathering. The large number of people was one of the reasons for the suspension.
The gathering was held at the Quirino Grandstand as an anti-corruption protest by INC. Because of this, there were several road closures to ensure smooth traffic flow.
Additional security has also been implemented around the area to ensure the safety of those attending the three-day program.
