Popular K-pop girl group NewJeans has officially returned to their label ADOR after losing a legal case. A Seoul court has recognized the validity of the group's contract until 2029.
The dispute began in late 2024, when the group tried to terminate the contract after their mentor, Min Hee-jin, was removed from his position. However, the court ruled that ADOR had fulfilled the terms of the contract, so there was no sufficient reason to cancel it.
After the court's decision, the five members — Hyein, Haerin, Minji, Danielle, and Hanni — decided to continue their careers under ADOR. According to the group, they thought it over carefully with their families before making the decision.
ADOR issued a statement saying that they fully support the members and will provide assistance for NewJeans's future projects and performances. The company also asked fans not to believe in misconceptions about the group.
After almost a year of controversy and fear from fans, NewJeans will once again return to the spotlight, ready to deliver new music and performances that everyone will surely be looking forward to.
