Pokémon Pokopia, a life simulation game similar to Animal Crossing, will officially be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on March 5, 2026. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company announced this along with the announcement of a new trailer that will be released this week.
In the game, the player takes on the role of a Ditto that transforms into a human. You are accompanied by other Pokémon who will help you with tasks, community events, and building your own world.
Pokémon Pokopia was first shown off during Nintendo's September Direct event. Now, it's been confirmed that the game will use a Game Key Card, which is only for downloading the game — it doesn't have any save data on the card itself.
This game is sure to provide a unique experience for Pokémon fans and simulation game enthusiasts.
