Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser has spoken out about the canceled Trevor-focused DLC for Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V). According to him, it was about halfway through before being completely shelved.
Houser said in an interview, “It never really got done. It was about halfway done when it was abandoned.” He added that if they had continued with it, they might not have made Red Dead Redemption 2, so they had to choose which to prioritize.
According to actor Steven Ogg, who plays Trevor, he has already recorded some parts for the said DLC. He shared that he hopes Trevor will be like a James Bond-style secret agent, and Houser agreed with this.
Houser also hinted that he's interested in making a GTA zombie game in the future. He said, “That would be fun. I'd love to do stories like in GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption, where there are additional story packs.”
At the moment, it's not yet clear whether the upcoming GTA VI will have single-player DLC, but many are still hoping that such stories will return in Rockstar's next game.
