The former senator Antonio Trillanes IV filed a plunder complaint against Sen. Bong Go, his relatives, and former President Rodrigo Duterte for allegedly embezzling nearly ₱7 billion in projects in Davao. Trillanes submitted the complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman on Tuesday, October 21.
The complaint includes Bong Go's father and half-brother, who are alleged owners of CLTG Builders and Alfrego Builders. According to Trillanes, from 2016 until now, these companies allegedly secured contracts worth up to ₱7 billion, mostly in Davao City and other areas in Davao Region where members of the Duterte family held office.
Trillanes also said that approximately ₱816 million in contracts came from a joint venture of CLTG Builders, Alfrego Builders, and St. Gerrard Construction. He alleged that political connections were used to secure the projects, which he said was a clear example of plunder.
This is not Trillanes' first complaint. In July 2024, he also filed a plunder and graft case against Duterte and Go over contracts worth ₱6.6 billion that allegedly went to companies connected to the Go family.
Trillanes said the first complaint was not investigated due to the alleged cover-up by the former prosecutor general. He added that “not even an hour was spent on the investigation,” so now the case is being refiled with additional evidence.
