AI courses remain the most popular courses for Filipinos to take on Coursera. According to Ashutosh Gupta, a Filipino enrolls in generative AI every 9 minutes, faster than every 15 minutes in 2024.
Filipinos have also spent 80,000 hours learning about AI using the platform. Gupta noted that reskilling and upskilling of employees is essential to keep up with the rapid rise of AI.
Coursera has released new prices for the Philippines: ₱1,400 per month, ₱9,400 for a year, or ₱1,800 if you pay per course. The goal is to make online learning more affordable for more Filipinos.
There are now nearly 2.9 million registered learners from the Philippines, the highest in Southeast Asia. More than 30 companies in the country also use Coursera for training their employees.
Coursera plans to partner with more colleges, universities, and companies to help more Filipinos learn and level up their skills.
