Microsoft has introduced two new AI models: MAI-Voice-1 for voice generation, and MAI-1-preview for intelligent agents.
According to the company, MAI-Voice-1 can produce human-like audio within a second. You can choose accent, emotion, and style of the voice using Copilot Audio Expressions. For now, it is only available in English with American, Australian, and British accents.
The new voice model is already being used in features like Copilot Daily and Podcasts. This is a big help for content creators, teachers, and public service communicators in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, MAI-1-preview is a foundation model that can follow complex instructions and support agentic AI. It aims to help students, small business owners, and professionals automate tasks, learn faster, and generate new ideas.
