The Shell Mekaniko League 2025 has successfully concluded and crowned new champions. For the first time, car and motorcycle mechanics from all over the country were brought together in a single competition, with more than 2,000 participants from 26 provinces.

From March to September, 20 Shell Advance Masters regional runs for motorcycle mechanics and six Shell Helix Auto Mekaniko Champions runs for car mechanics were held. Participants underwent Shell-led training and TESDA-certified modules that helped prepare them for NC I and NC II certification. In the semi-finals, they were tested in written exams, parts identification, and live repair challenges that resembled real-world situations.

At the Grand Finale in Pasay City, Mark Anthony Calimag of Quezon City was crowned the 2025 National Champion for the Shell Helix Auto Mekaniko Champions. Meanwhile, Charlie Sandoval from Caloocan City was the champion of the Shell Advance Masters. Each champion received ₱200,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Malaysia to watch the MotoGP. The semi-final winners also received ₱50,000 each, and several top finishers also made it into MotoGP slots.

According to Shell, the Mekaniko League is not only about competition, but also provides training and recognition to uplift livelihoods and improve the quality of the industry. TESDA added that this program helps in the professionalization of Filipino mechanics and in preparing them for the more modern demands of the automotive sector.

The Mekaniko League, which started in 2024 with only five regional runs, has expanded this year into a national program that recognizes the talent and dedication of local mechanics in the auto and motorcycle service industry.
