Filipino-American singer Jessica Sanchez has finally achieved success after becoming the champion of America’s Got Talent Season 20. After 13 years since she was the runner-up on American Idol, she is back on the show and is now the winner.
He earned a golden buzzer from Sofia Vergara during his first performance of “Beautiful Things.” From there, he went straight to live shows until reaching the finals where he defeated freestyle rapper Chris Turner and R&B artist Jourdan Blue.
Despite being 9 months pregnant, Jessica proved that she can still dominate the stage. In the finale, she sang “Die With a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. She even accompanied it with a performance of “Golden Hour” with aerial duo Sirca Marea.
As champion, Jessica took home ₱58 million (USD 1 million) and officially became the first former contestant to return to claim the title.
Season 20 was also special because it featured several big performers and former AGT alumni who provided entertainment on Jessica's victory night.
