Former DPWH engineers Henry Alcantara, Brice Hernandez, and Jaypee Mendoza appeared before the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) hearing on anomalies in flood control projects. They arrived wearing bulletproof vests and were accompanied by police officers and Senate Sergeant-at-Arms.
Alcantara, Hernandez, and Mendoza revealed the names of several lawmakers who were allegedly involved in budget insertions and kickbacks for flood control. As of now, ICI has not released a statement regarding the hearing.
Meanwhile, Mayor Benjamin Magalong, special advisor to ICI, confirmed that Hernandez is willing to give up his luxury cars, including a ₱30 million Lamborghini Urus, a Ferrari, and other motorcycles.
According to Magalong, the vehicles will first be placed in the custody of ICI before proper disposition according to law. The CIDG is also currently collecting evidence at Hernandez's house.
