Travelers to Taiwan will need to fill out an Arrival Card online starting October 1. According to the National Immigration Agency (NIA), paper landing cards will be phased out for faster immigration clearance.
The form must be filled out 3 days prior to arrival. There is also a QR code at airport and seaport check-in counters. You can choose Chinese or English, and there is guidance in Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, and Indonesian. You must enter personal information and passport data page photo.
For family or group, only one person can fill out for up to 16 people. It can also be changed or edited by other people. After submitting, you will receive a confirmation email, but it is not necessary to show it because the officer can see it using the passport scan.
TWAC is free and mandatory before immigration clearance. It covers foreigners with visitor visas or visa-free entry, residents of Hong Kong and Macao with multiple-entry permits, mainland Chinese with tourist permits, and unregistered nationals without a Resident Certificate.
Visa-free is still for Filipino passport holders until 2026, so there are no additional costs or fees.
