The transport group Manibela ended its three-day strike on September 18, following a plea from the LTFRB.

According to the report, the LTFRB requested that the protest action be stopped for now. Mar Valbuena, Chairperson of Manibela, said that Chairman Teofilo Guadiz III acknowledged the difficulty of commuters in finding transportation. Therefore, they requested that the strike be stopped while a dialogue is taking place.

The strike began on September 17 in protest against alleged corruption and misuse of public funds.

Meanwhile, the group PISTON also held a one-day protest on Thursday. Due to the traffic stoppage, some classes in Metro Manila switched to online learning.
