The Dimasalang Bridge in Manila has been temporarily closed to motorists starting September 14, 11 p.m.. The closed portion is the southbound lane, while traffic flow in the northbound lane will remain open and uninterrupted.
According to DPWH NCR, the closure will last until December 15, 2025. The rehabilitation work will include the retrofitting of piers and abutments, replacement of concrete girders with steel girders, and construction of a new redecking slab.
While the project is underway, motorists are advised to use alternative routes. traffic enforcers are deployed to assist with traffic flow and guide drivers through re-routing schemes.
The rehabilitation project is being led by the DPWH North Manila District Engineering Office after obtaining clearance from the LGU of Manila and MMDA.
