A 1966 AC Cobra 4.7-Liter Two-Seat Competition Hardtop Coupé is considered one of the most legendary race cars. Rare and steeped in history, it is expected to fetch up to ₱152 million at an upcoming auction this September 2025.
This is no ordinary classic car. It is one of two entered in the 1963 24 Hours of Le Mans. It has chassis number CS 2131, which was long lost to history, but was reconfirmed through forensic analysis in 2024.
At Le Mans, it was driven by Ninian Sanderson and Peter Bolton of the AC Cars factory team. With the help of an aluminum hardtop roof, it reached 160 mph on the Mulsanne Straight, covered 2,592 miles, and finished seventh.
Today, the car is in the classic Bell & Colvill livery and has a 440 hp, 4.7-liter V-8 engine. It is considered one of the most original remaining AC/Shelby American Cobras, making it a rare opportunity to resell.
