
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced the suspension of classes at all levels, public and private, as well as government work in several areas this Monday, September 1, due to heavy rains and the threat of flooding.
According to PAGASA, a low pressure area is being monitored 580 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes. It has a low chance of developing into a typhoon within 24 hours but is still possible to bring severe weather.

Due to heavy rains, the public is advised to remain alert and take precautions especially in low-lying areas that are prone to flooding.
