A cat that was hit by a marble gun in Brgy. Sinuda, Kitaotao, Bukidnon, was rescued after the marble remained in its face for almost two weeks. The owner thought it was just a simple wound at first, but the condition of the cat, Panther, three years old, worsened.
The family noticed that he was constantly sneezing, had difficulty breathing, and was weak. When the owner's brother looked at the wound, he saw a shiny object stuck there — a marble. So they immediately brought him to Davao for immediate treatment.
At the hospital, the veterinarian found that Panther had a fracture of the skull, and it was difficult to remove the marble because it was close to the brain, nose, and eyes. Despite this, they were still able to remove the marble, and Panther is now slowly recovering. The owner plans to file a case against two marble gun owners in their area for animal cruelty.
