Lamborghini has unveiled a new race car called the Temerario GT3, the first GT3 model to be designed, built, and assembled in-house in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. It’s based on the new Temerario road car but built for extreme racing.
The new GT3 has a carbon-composite body that is extremely lightweight and an aluminum spaceframe chassis for faster pit stops. It is also equipped with a new version of the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine with 550 hp, coupled with a 6-speed sequential gearbox, which complies with GT3 racing rules.
Its aerodynamics have also been developed for better airflow and more convenient engine cooling. The upgrade includes an exhaust system from Capristo that provides more intense performance.
Inside, the cockpit has been redesigned based on advice from Lamborghini race drivers. There's a new steering wheel, electronic systems, and better driver ergonomics. It's also equipped with 6-way KW dampers, a longer wheelbase, wider tires, and hydraulic steering for better control in every corner.
The Temerario GT3 is expected to debut at the 2026 Sebring 12 Hours race. This is proof of Lamborghini's continued support for GT racing and their customer racing teams.
