
A Cessna 172 plane with tail number RPC 2211 crashed into a field near Iba Airport in Zambales on Friday morning. According to a police report, four people were injured in the incident.
Among the injured were flight instructor Capt. Jacques Robert Papio and student pilots Angelo Josh Quinsayas, Kisses Nunez Althea, and Jericho Bernardo Palma. All of them were immediately brought to the Ramon Magsaysay Hospital and are now in stable condition.
According to P/Brig. Gen. Jason Capoy of the PNP Aviation Security Group, the plane belongs to Skyaero Trade based in Zambales. It was on a training flight and departed from Iba Airport at around 8:57 a.m.
At around 9:30 a.m., the plane crashed in Purok 4, Sitio Corocan, Brgy. Lipay-Dingin-Panibutan, Iba, Zambales. The CAAP Aircraft Accident Investigation Board is now investigating the cause of the crash, according to CAAP Director General Raul Del Rosario.
