The two delivery riders in Davao City were victimized by riding-in-tandem in two different places on Thursday. The first incident occurred at DSA Village, Barangay Matina Crossing around noon. After delivering a parcel, the rider was approached by two men wearing bonnets on a motorcycle. They pointed a gun at him and forcibly took his sling bag containing ₱4,000, a cellphone, and IDs.
Another holdap occurred in Zone 1, Barangay Buhangin Proper on morning. While on his way to a customer with his companion's parcel, an armed man also approached the rider. He pointed a gun at him and took his bag containing ₱6,500 and a cellphone. The suspect got on his accomplice who was waiting on a motorcycle and quickly fled.
The suspects in the incident in Buhangin were captured on CCTV. The investigation and hot pursuit operation by the police are continuing to find and arrest the perpetrators.
