The mastermind behind the disappearance of the sabungeros has enough money to influence the courts, according to Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla. In an ambush interview, Remulla said he plans to talk to Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo about the individual's possible influence in the judiciary.
According to Remulla, “The opponent here is formidable because he has money that can reach all the way to the judiciary.” He even heard the alleged mastermind say: “We can do it,” and said he can even influence the Supreme Court.
Remulla did not mention who the alleged mastermind in the case was, nor did he provide any details on how it entered the court system.
Meanwhile, according to a former Manila Arena guard named “Totoy,” the missing wrestlers were strangled with wire and thrown into Taal Lake. According to Totoy, the victims allegedly cheated in the match, but he did not name who ordered the crime.
Remulla is ready to talk to Gesmundo to ensure that the justice system in the country is not being abused.
